Dr. Loring Stead has for thirty years developed a successful and healthy cadence of dedication to his profession, community and family. He is board certified by the ABPS, ABPM, and has fellowship status in the Wound Healing Physicians and Utilization Review Physicians. He has served as an oral examiner for the ABPOPPM and served on numerous professional committees including advisory panel (BC/BS), the National ICIS Research group for the podiatric procedures and Health Industry task force for ACFAS. He is a 1982 graduate of Chicago having served as class president during the transition from Illinois College to Scholl College. He did his surgical training at Foot Clinic Youngstown/Cafaro Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, followed by two years of advanced surgical training in Rochester, MN. He has served as scientific chair for the State conference. He has nationally served for MN as a PPAC and HOD representative. Dr Stead is president elect for the state in 2015. He has a lifelong passion for competition and running sports. This has taken him from completing his 1st marathon at the Drake Relays in 1976 to TEAM PODIATRIST for TEAM USA TRACK AND FIELD. He has been with the Ultra Marathon Team, having spoken passionately as an advocate of Podiatry in many states and abroad. He has presented in France, Netherlands and Greece, and most recently, at the FIP in Rome. He was the first podiatrist to join a small 16 physician multispecialty group in Rochester, MN. This group has not only survived but it has thrived having grown to over 160+ physicians, 1,300 employees and 12 service locations. What is unique with this growth pattern is that this took place within seven blocks of the world renowned, Mayo Clinic. He was the 1st podiatrist to be on the Board of Governors and first podiatrist to be on the Board of Trustees of the Olmsted Medical Center.
