Harold W. Vogler, D.P.M., FACFAS Dr. Vogler received his bachelors degree from Henderson State University in Arkansas. In 1972, he received his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, in Chicago. His first residency in Reconstructive Surgery of the Foot & Ankle was completed at Harrison Community Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. In 1980 he completed an A-0 & Traumatology Fellowship at the University of Freiburg, in the Federal Republic of West Germany and Switzerland. In 1983 Dr. Vogler was Professor of Surgery and Chairman, Dept. of Surgery at Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and also Chairman. of the Dept. of Foot & Ankle Surgery & Traumatology at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Vogler was visiting Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Advanced Research Fellow in Reconstructive Surgery & Traumatology of the Foot & Leg at Malmo General Hospital-Lund University in 1990. He was also appointed as Research Fellow in Biomechanics & Functional Anatomy at the Panum Institute of the University of Copenhagen. Dr. Vogler has authorized 71 publications and textbook contributions in all aspects of Reconstructive & Trauma Surgery of the Foot, Ankle and Lower Leg. He has directed two Advanced Residencies in the same specialty area and has been active in the educational sphere since 1974. He continues to hold academic rank in Sweden and Denmark. In 1999, Dr. Vogler relocated from Tampa, FL. Where he worked at The Foot & Leg Medical Center as a consultant surgeon.
