Dr. Justin Wernick is a noted international expert in the field of human walking. He is a graduate of the N.Y. College of Podiatric Medicine and practiced podiatric medicine for 51 years. During that time, he became a much sought-after lecturer and author of scholarly articles and books. He has given countless seminars to medical audiences, both nationally and internationally as well as consumer audiences through media appearances on the subject of how people walk. In 1968 he co-founded The Langer Biomechanics Group, Inc., which grew to become one the largest international provider of prescription foot orthoses. Dr. Wernick has dedicated his life to the ongoing education of other medical practitioners in the field of gait. He retired as Professor Emeritus in the Department of Orthopedic Sciences at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he taught for 44 years. Dr. Wernick is a Diplomat in The American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and a Certified Pedorthist. New York City. In 2014 he was chosen as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award and inducted into the Hall of Fame of Podiatric Management Magazine.
