Laurence G. Rubin, DPM did his undergraduate work at the University of New Hampshire, from there he went on to the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He did his residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Philadelphia, the first 4-year program in the country, and did a fellowship at the University of Lund in Malmo Sweden. After finishing his training, he went into private practice in Richmond Virginia, where he has been practicing for the last 21 years. Dr. Rubin has been involved in the profession on the local, state and national levels: he is a past president of the Richmond Academy of Podiatric Medicine, has been the scientific chairman of the Virginia state meeting and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Rubin continues to lecture on both a national and international level. He has authored several papers and chapters in books, he is a section editor for the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery, and is on the editorial board for Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He is a co-designer and co-patent holder of EZ Frame, and helped start EZ Surgical Concepts, the company that produced and sold EZ Frame.
