Dr. Robert Mendicino, DPM, FACFAS, is a graduate of the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Loretto Hospital in Chicago and is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. Dr. Mendicino is a past president of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has an impressive history in research, performing clinical trials and numerous publications in journals and text books. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally. He specializes in pediatric, adolescent and adult foot and ankle problems and surgery, lower limb deformities and injuries, and is an instructor for External Fixation of the foot and leg and Total Ankle Joint Replacement Surgery. He founded the surgical residency program and Diabetic Limb Salvage Fellowship in the Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery at the West Penn Allegheny Health System in 1997 and was a Clinical Professor of Surgery for Temple University School of Medicine. He served as Adjunct Clinical Professor for the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, and the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa.
