Dr. Glenn Gastwirth, the Executive Director and CEO of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). Dr. Gastwirth graduated from Ohio State University then graduated magna cum laude and valedictorian from New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) in 1974. He completed a surgical residency at Kern Hospital for Special Surgery in suburban Detroit, and practiced in Michigan until 1986. Leadership, Bridge building, diplomacy and personality development are items at the TOP of any list of Glenn’s great skills. Each year, as the Presidency of APMA changes; the cement that holds continuity, direction and mentorship together for all of us, is Dr. Gastwirth. As the Dean of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM) and the President of the Physician Guild of the Office & Professional Employees International Union of the AFL-CIO, John knows how to get things done. In his Donald Trump way, the Art of the Deal is something Dr. John Mattiacci excels at. I know how busy Dr. John is, as just finding time in his schedule for this series was a task. John just returned from an AFL-CIO meeting politicking on behalf of the Podiatric profession so that we remain on the forefront of what is transpiring in Washington regarding healthcare

This upcoming Tuesday night October 13th our Guest will be Dr Steven Subotnick, a founder of the Sports Medicine movement in this profession and AAPSM, the 1st Podiatric editor of Runners World Magazine. After being faculty member at the California College of Podiatric Medicine for years, and an accomplished board certified foot and ankle surgeon and teacher; Dr. Subotnick left Podiatry for a short time and enrolled in Hahnemann College of Homeopathic Medicine and obtained a degree as a Naturopathic Doctor.
