Dr. Kirby is a contributing editor for the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association and a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Biomechanics at the California School of Podiatric Medicine and has a full time podiatric biomechanics and surgical practice in Sacramento, California.

Most recently, Dr. Melillo was essential in the decision to relocate the Ohio College Podiatric Medicine from its previous location in University Circle to a facility in Independence, Ohio in 2007. The new 27 acre college campus offers a state-of-the-art educational and learning facility for its students, alumni, faculty, staff and podiatric community. The new college building is 115,000 square feet and includes a 450-seat lecture hall edition, high-tech lab and library facilities, newly created learning and media center, upgraded school cafeteria and renovated office spaces. Dr.
Melillo's involvement in the transition to the facility positioned the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine to be the leader in podiatric medical education for the 21st Century.

A native of New York, Dr. Helfman is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Village Podiatry Centers, (formerly Village Podiatry Group). He is active in the teaching of surgical residents and is a medical lecturer and writer. Dr. Helfman’s private practice provides comprehensive medical and surgical treatment for all foot and ankle disorders including diabetic and elderly foot care, sports medicine, trauma, infections and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Harkless is a retired Professor of Orthopedics at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) where he served for 30 years. He has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) as an Outstanding Educator receiving the ADA Educator of the Year and the Presidential Excellence in Teaching Award, respectively. Over the course of his 30-year career, he has trained over 1000 students, 176 residents and15 fellows, solidifying his status as one of the profession's best educators.
