Dr. Michael King, our APMA president, last night was full of passion for our profession last evening; but, what was unique was the “real guy” perspective he shared. The interview was like you were having dinner with Mike. He answered each question and held nothing back. His suggestions for what each of us should be doing while preparing for the future of health care was enlightening

Past President of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery; as director of residency training at Green River Surgery Center; as residency director for Providence Hospital’s Northwest Podiatric Residency Program; and as a member of clinical workshops for the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. Hutchinson has also served as podiatric consultant to the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
A Washington State University graduate, Hutchinson received a degree in podiatric medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine and completed the Waldo Podiatric Residency Program in Seattle. Hutchinson is board certified in podiatric surgery; his specialty is foot and ankle reconstruction.

The 12th New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH) is a Peripheral Intervention Conference focusing on Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) with a special emphasis on Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) will be taking place next month. Join me as we preview this meeting with the seminar director Craig Walker, MD and Podiatry section head Marc Brenner, DPM.
The goal of NCVH is to bring together key disciplines to focus on a team approach to total cardiovascular care in patients with PAD and CLI This meeting includes 25 course directors and 200 faculty from around the world.
The course directors and faculty develop innovative contemporary content that fosters interaction among attendees. Our program provides actionable clinical insights in the areas of cutting edge interventions, new technology and education to support optimal outcomes for patients with PAD and CLI.
Dr. Craig Walker is a native of Louisiana. He attended LSU School of Medicine and postgraduate training in cardiology at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He went on to go a research and teaching fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He has published hundreds of articles and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Invasive Cardiology.
